Ministry coordinates with ‘Banks Union’ on installment cut

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: An official source in the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said the ministry has sent a letter to the Union of Banks to organize the process of overdue bills payment by the customers who wish to transfer their account from one bank to another, reports Al- Anba daily.

The sources this is done to protect the rights of the ministry and the state when it comes to collecting its dues because when the customers change their accounts from one bank to another, it finds it difficult to deduct installments. The ministry has also requested the banks to request a clearance letter from the ministry when a customer transfers the account from one bank to another.
