May Dashti receives ‘MESA CISO 100’ award – Gulf Bank staff member honored for second consecutive year

KUWAIT CITY, June 3: Gulf Bank is pleased announce that Mrs. May Dashti, Executive Manager for Information System Security — Risk Management, was awarded the ‘MESA CISO 100’ Executive Manager Award, for the second consecutive year. Ms Dashti was recognized during a prestigious invitation-only awards ceremony recently held at Conrad Hotel, Dubai-UAE, and attended by prominent regional and international figures from the field of information security.

Middle East Security Awards (MESA) is an annual conference and awards ceremony organized by Emirsec Ventures, an organization that aims to address digital challenges with new strategies and innovative approaches. The two-day conference included roundtable sessions and panel discussions, in addition to presentations by global leaders and policy makers.

Nominations for MESA awards are in line with specific categories and the jury’s choice awards are evaluated on the following criteria: experience and achievements; sector and size of organization represented; business value generation including successful initiatives and projects; contribution to industry as a whole; and company achievements.

Mrs Salma Al-Hajjaj, General Manager of Human Resources at Gulf Bank said: “We congratulate May Dashti for her achievements on behalf of Gulf Bank. Information technology and information security play a crucial role in today’s world and this role will only continue to grow. Mrs May Dashti has 23 years of experience, she started her career as a financial auditor and has continued her career in the field of Information Security. Mrs Dashti was nominated as ‘Best Information Security Manager of the Year-2013’ by the internationally recognized ‘Who’s Who’ publication in the USA. In 2017, she received the ‘Best Information Security Leader in the Gulf Region’ award from StarLink International.
