Man fined KD 10,000 for littering – Tons of bars, cement stolen from man’s house

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: A Kuwaiti, whose identity has not been disclosed, was shocked when the Ahmadi Prosecution summoned him for interrogation and was told to pay KD 10,000 for violating the environment law, reports Al-Rai daily.

It is then the citizen remembered throwing an empty can of juice on a beach and the Environment Police issuing him a citation.

However, the citizen was shocked for the second time when the Prosecution released him on bail and referred the case to a court.

Meanwhile, DAESH fighter, identified as Abu Abdulber, allegedly Kuwaiti was reportedly killed weeks ago in Syria, reports Al-Rai quoting sources familiar to the daily.

The man was reportedly killed when the coalition aircraft targeted a prison where Abdulber was being held after he fell foul with his comrades in the organization following a dispute which arose due to explanations related to the absence.

Earlier information said Abu Abdulber is Falah Nimr, a bedoun from Sulaibiya and that he had joined the organization years ago.

Tons of bars, cement stolen from man’s house: A Kuwaiti citizen reported at Jabriya Police Station about the theft of 50 tons of iron bars and 1,100 packs of cement from his house which is under construction, reports Al-Anba daily.

A case was registered and securitymen have launched investigations to find and arrest the thief/thieves.

Meanwhile, an Arab expatriate reported at Nugra Police Station about the theft of his motorcycle which he uses for his delivery job.

A case was registered and referred to the concerned authorities for investigations.

Drug peddlers held: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti believed to be in his 30s for trafficking in drugs, reports Annahar daily. The daily added the suspect was caught in possession of bag of shabu, chemicals and drugs. A police source said security patrolmen from the Mubarak Al-Kabir governorate suspected a man driving in Sabah Al-Salem and ordered him to stop. Police then searched his car and found the contraband and drug consuming tools. He has been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Liquor bags seized: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested two Asians and seized from them 50 polyethylene bags filled with local booze, reports Annahar daily.

The daily added, the suspect was called in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh during a routine patrol of the area.

During interrogation, they admitted to manufacturing booze inside their apartment. They also said they were selling each bottle for KD 4 each bag.

They have been referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control.
