Lawyer practicing law on the strength of fake certificate

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 29: At the heart of the forged or fake education certificates issue is also a lawyer who is said to have been practicing law on the strength of the fake certificate which he allegedly acquired from a law school in Egypt, reports Al-Jarida daily.

The Ministry of Higher Education has referred several cases of educational certificates forgery to the Public Prosecution and it is believed this is the first time a lawyer has been caught in the web.

According to knowledgeable sources the Prosecution will listen to the testimonies of some officials in the Ministry of Higher Education and then will address the Association of Lawyers before summoning the ‘fake’ lawyer for interrogation.

The sources added the Prosecution will also require the Criminal Investigation Department to conduct in-depth investigations to find out how this lawyer got the fake certificate. The lawyer was discovered after the Cultural Office in Egypt failed to confirm the authenticity of the certificate.
