Kuwaitis and Expats told “Don’t respond to social media advertisements”

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 30: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has called on citizens and residents not to respond to what is published by social media commercial advertisements, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily quoting KUNA said some parties and individuals call for investment in portfolios or sign commercial investment contracts, and the ministry warned against such activities without verifying the licenses and legal status of such entities.

The ministry said in a press statement, Saturday, the citizens and residents must ensure the credibility of parties before signing any contracts, as well as their legal status, in addition to consulting a lawyer before concluding any contract. The ministry stressed on the role entrusted to it legally with all concerned authorities in the country to address such sites or individuals and take all legal measures to protect the rights of consumers.
