KOC accepts new batch of 629 Kuwaitis

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 19: The Kuwaiti youth see the oil sector as the door to the bright future, due to the advantages this sector offers and the income and the experiences it generates, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

With the KOC announcing the acceptance of a new batch of 629 Kuwaitis in the contractors’ contracts, the recruitment teams and groups and the Kuwaitization of the contractors contracts in the company continue to sort and equip more suitable job opportunities for Kuwaiti youth.

Speaking to the daily, director of the Kuwaiti Employment Group at the Kuwait Oil Company Mohammed Ja’afar, stressed that the trend towards Kuwaitization of the jobs in the private oil sector is not new, but rather it is consistent with the government trend to employ nationals in many areas in order to achieve the aspirations and goals of the national development plan emanating from the 2035 vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad.

This is in addition to creating more jobs in many technical and administrative specializations that can accommodate more Kuwaiti graduates to achieve balance in the labor market, and guarantee the rights of Kuwaitis to the job. However, at the same time they must prove that they have the abilities and are capable of working and provide proper environment
