Kuwaiti woman hysterical as ‘prince’ flees with children

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: A Kuwaiti woman is said to have become hysterical after she discovered her ex-husband (prince from one of the GCC countries) had left the country with their son and daughter, reports Al-Rai daily. The woman is a divorcee and the custody of the children was given to the mother by the court in Kuwait. Then father reportedly told the mother he wanted to spend some time with the children and is said to have left the country without her knowledge. The daily added, the authorities in Kuwait have addressed the Interpol to bring the children back to Kuwait.

Citizen acquitted: The Misdemeanor Court acquitted a Kuwaiti citizen who was accused of libeling and defaming an English language teacher of Ministry of Education through his posts on Twitter. The court dismissed the lawsuit. The Public Prosecution had charged the citizen of misusing the social media platform by posting statements deemed offensive to the victim, her honor and her reputation. The defense counsel Lawyer Abdulmohsen Al-Qattan highlighted the lack of substance and incriminating evidences against his client.
