Kuwaiti tourists visit Thailand in big numbers, says TTA chief

KUWAIT CITY, April 20: The total number of tourists to Thailand from the Middle East reached 600,000 last year, according to the director of the Thailand Tourism Authority (TTA) Pitshaya Sai Sengen.
In an exclusive statement to the Al-Qabas daily, he said, the number of tourists from the Middle East is increasing annually, and the number of Kuwaiti tourists was the largest last year. Speaking at a dinner hosted by the Tourism Promotion Authority in Thailand, he added, 70,000 Kuwaitis visited Thailand last year and he expects this number to increase by five percent.He added, the three most popular destinations for tourists are Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket
