Kuwaiti, South African top auditors hold joint seminar

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2, (KUNA): Kuwait’s State Audit Bureau (SAB) in cooperation with the Auditor- General of South Africa (AGSA), held a seminar Monday for executing international standards and professional rehabilitation for State’s higher supervisory bodies.

The seminar is held for four days, and it comes as the first part of the agreement of cooperation signed by the two sides to exchange expertise and skills. The seminar is listed under the joint efforts of coordinated regional meetings and mutual visits to enhance cooperation horizons and openness upon all state authorities and establishments.

The agreement signed back in September 2018, entails plans to develop professional skills through training courses and more interaction among audit specialists from both nations. In his speech at the opening ceremony of the seminar, Assistant Undersecretary for the Supplementary Bodies and Companies Audit Sector Yousif Al-Mazroui affirmed the importance of this cooperation and the development that it achieves as it satisfies the needs of our supervisory authorities.

He pointed out that all societies seek to develop their work through executing international standards which contributes in enhancing their performance with high efficiency.
