Kuwaiti journalists commend Kuwait Pavilion

DUBAI, Oct 2, (KUNA): A number of Kuwaiti media figures and journalists on Saturday opined that the Kuwaiti Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai is a “national and Arab source of pride” and mirrors an “integrated” image of Kuwait’s heritage, reality, accomplishments and aspirations for sustainable development. Speaking to KUNA while touring the Kuwaiti booth, they said they were impressed by the pavilion’s exterior architectural design and interior contents which reflect Kuwait’s past, glorious present and promising future. Al-Kuwaityha Editor-in-Chief Zuhair Al-Ebad said Kuwait’s participation in this world event is an “obvious message to the world that Kuwait is steadily heading towards a bright future”. He added that the Kuwaiti section caught the eyes of visitors, and Arab and world media representatives thanks to its fruitful activities which were organized on Friday evening.

Almajlis TV Director-General Suleiman Al-Samhan believed that the highly visited facility is actually a source of pride and an exceptional chance to manifest Kuwait’s heritage and culture. He boasted that Kuwait’s great humanitarian role and efforts, through Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development and Kuwait Red Crescent Society and other relief bodies, are highlighted at the pavilion. He regarded Kuwait’s present in the expo as proof of its ability to promote its accomplishments, especially regarding its response to the globally spreading novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). Al-Anbaa Managing Editor Mohammad Al-Husseini said in a similar statement to KUNA that the striking interaction of the public and visitors with the Kuwaiti heritage paintings during the Kuwaiti section’s activities is deemed a source of pride and success for the organizers. The Kuwaiti pavilion manifests an integrated picture of Kuwait’s history, development, economy, society and world humanitarian role, in addition to future aspirations, Al-Husseini pointed out. On his part, Kuwaiti Electronic Media Union’s Chairman Faisal Al-Sawagh considered Kuwait’s participation in this world exhibition, in addition to the continual visits of Kuwaiti delegations to the pavilion, as a big opportunity for communications and meetings with several world institutions and companies willing to forge partnerships and open new horizons. He highly commended the role of Kuwaiti young people in delivering the message of Kuwait embodied in the banner: “New Kuwait … New Opportunities for Sustainability”.

Representing His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi opened the Kuwaiti Pavilion at Expo 200 Dubai on Friday evening. Themed “New Kuwait … New Opportunities for Sustainability”, the Kuwaiti pavilion, which is located at the Sustainability District of the Expo, features the eye-catching and striking products and notions of various Kuwaiti institutions. The pandemic-delayed Expo 2020 Dubai was opened last night, bringing together 192 countries to show off their cutting-edge products as well as peculiarities of their history, folklore and heritage. Themed: “Connecting Minds, Creating the Future”, the event, which takes place from 1 October 2021 to 31 March 2022, highlights music, architecture, technology and culture from around the globe as part of its packed events calendar. The event will provide all attendees with the opportunity to celebrate the history and achievements of other countries. It will also bring together the world’s brightest minds through its Program for People and Planet, which gives visitors of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to enjoy and make the most of this exceptional event.
