KUWAIT CITY, March 1: A Kuwaiti citizen was killed by a lioness at a pit-stop in Hafr Al-Batin, Saudi Arabia. When the lioness attacked the citizen, the latter’s friend stabbed the lioness to death and called for an ambulance. However, before an ambulance arrived at the location, the victim succumbed to the deep wound he sustained. According to gathered information, the man was breeding some wild animals at the pit-stop.

Meanwhile, explosives experts combed approximately 200 square/ meters area off the Wafra Road in search of landmines after a Kuwaiti citizen called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and reported stumbling upon an item that resembles a landmine.

Security sources said personnel from the Explosives Department raked through the area after verifying the item was remnant from the Iraqi invasion. No other explosive materials were found. A case was registered. And, two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested in Thaher area in possession of two bottles of foreign liquor.

According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Thaher area at night based on instructions from Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa. Based on suspicions, they stopped a vehicle and checked the details of the two occupants to discover they are Kuwaiti citizens. They checked the vehicle to find two bottles of imported alcohol.
