Kuwaiti insults guard, arrested; Drunkard Kuwaiti arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6: A Kuwaiti has been arrested by police for insulting a security man on duty, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, this happened when the man was caught in a restricted area of the oil region in Shuaiba. A security source said told the daily that personnel guarding the oil region called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior when the citizen born in 1992 insisted to enter the area although he did not carry a permit. When the man was reportedly asked to get ‘tasriya’ permit from the relevant department, the Kuwaiti allegedly hurled insults at the security man. He has been detained at the Mina Abdullah Police Station.

Meanwhile, A Kuwaiti has been arrested and detained at the Fintas Police Station for driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al- Anba daily. The daily added, the man’s vehicle has also been impounded.

In other news, the Mangaf police have arrested an unidentified expatriate for bootlegging. The arrest came on New Year’s Day. Security sources said when a police patrol passed alongside the suspect’s car, he looked confused and when police ordered the man to pull over, they found 17 bottles local booze
