Kuwaiti film chosen for La Spezia film fest in Italy – ‘Serb Al-Hamam’ successful

KUWAIT CITY, March 7: The trailer of “Al-Juza’a Khair Al-Mufkood” (The Not- Missing Part) directed by Ahmad Al-Khadari has been chosen as one among the 2,000 films to be showcased in the La Spezia Film Festival in Italy, reports Al-Rai daily. In a telephonic interview, Al-Khadari expressed joy and honor in winning two awards for the movie — Italy Press Award and “The best movie” award. He affirmed that this achievement is a matter of honor for all Kuwaiti creators, dedicating his success to the cinema makers in Kuwait. Al-Khadari explained that the story of the film is the journey of a young man who lost one of his legs and went to a shoe store to buy a new shoe. The salesman felt pity for him and decided to sell just one shoe. But the man insisted on buy a pair even though he needed only one.

Actor Ahmad Iraj expressed his happiness over the positive reaction of the public to his latest film, “Serb Al-Hamam” (Flock of Pigeons), which was shown recently in the local cinema, reports Al-Anba daily. He affirmed his keenness to be active in the local cinema, indicating Kuwait has all the potentials to produce distinguished cinema work in Gulf and Arab countries.

Attorney Faten Al-Naqib was chosen as one of the most influential women in the Arab World according to Arabian Business Magazine, reports Al-Anba daily. Al-Naqib expressed her happiness over the recognition as it is a confirmation that Kuwaiti women in public and private have the ability to achieve and create in various fields. She disclosed her work on international issues and her book, “Legal Guide for Investment in Kuwait,” which was published in English have contributed to enhancing her reputation in the local and international arenas.
