Kuwaiti and a Syrian expat arrested in possession of drugs

KUWAIT CITY, June 4: A Kuwaiti citizen and a Syrian expatriate were arrested in Salmiya area in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salmiya area when they suspected a vehicle which was stopped by the roadside and had no lights even though there were two individuals sitting inside the vehicle.

Securitymen approached the vehicle and checked the details of the two individuals to discover the driver is a Kuwaiti and his passenger is a Syrian. Based on suspicions, securitymen checked the vehicle and found drugs and drug paraphernalia. They arrested the two suspects and referred them with the confiscated items to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action.

Drugs with Bedoun: A Bedoun youth was arrested for consuming and possessing hashish in Sulaibiya area. According to security sources, Jahra securitymen were patrolling Sulaibiya area when they noticed a young man walking in the area and approached him. They noticed his disoriented state and asked him to sit in the patrol vehicle. However, they noticed him throw a small bag before he sat in the patrol vehicle. They checked the bag and found hashish. Securitymen arrested the Bedoun youth and referred him with the hashish to the Drugs Control General Department for necessary legal action
