KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has announced its intention to increase the percentage of Filipinos in the labor market, reports Al-Qabas daily. During the recent meeting between PAM Director General Dr Mubarak Al-Azmi and Chargé d’Affaires of the Philippine Embassy Jose Cabrera, the two sides stressed the importance of strengthening relations between the two countries in various fields.
Al-Azmi affirmed that Kuwait provides legal protection for expatriate workers of various nationalities, stressing both parties are keen on coordinating their efforts in protecting Filipino workers and addressing employment issues. He is hoping for an increase in the percentage of Filipino workers in the country, emphasizing that the Philippines is ready to provide more manpower for the local labor market. He added Kuwait has a suitable work environment that guarantees the rights of all workers in the private and domestic labor sectors.
