DAMMAM, Jun 21: The Kuwait national futsal team won against Mauritania with 7-2 goals, in the second round of the first group competitions, in the Arab Futsal Cup held in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, after losing its  opening match against Morocco 4-6.

The goals for Kuwait was scored by Abdul Rahman Al Taweel (3), Abdul Latif Al Abbasi (2), Saleh Al Fadel and Sultan Al Majid one each, for Mauritania Ibrahim Al Abed scored two goals. Kuwait players were in control of full game while Mauritanian players were rough.

Abdul Rahman Al-Taweel opened the scoring early after 4 minutes, after which the Mauritanian team responded with a equalizer with a long shot by Ibrahim Al-Abed. Abdul Latif Al Abbasi managed to dodge goalkeeper Mohamed Amin and score skillfully. Al-Taweel increased the lead with a penalty kick, before the Mauritanian team returned and reduced the difference. Kuwait strengthened its lead with two goals through Al-Fadil and Al-Taweel, taking advantage after Mauritanian player Ibrahim Al-Abed was expelled at the end the first half score was 5-2.

In the second half, the performance of Kuwaiti players declined slightly giving opportunity to new players. Minutes before the end of the match, Al-Abbasi and Al-Majed added the sixth and seventh goals.
