Kuwait’s ‘Kuwait Stars’ and Saudi’s ‘Jeddah Club’ players battle for control of the puck.

Abu Dhabi Storms earn 3rd win at Gulf ice hockey championship

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 22: Kuwait’s ice hockey team, ‘Kuwait Stars’ Club, continued their winning streak in the first ice hockey championship for Gulf clubs which kicked off Tuesday at the Ice Skating Rink with the participation of teams from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman and the host country – Kuwait.

In their third match, ‘Kuwait Stars’ earned a much deserved victory over Saudi’s ‘Jeddah Club’ by eight goals to one. The team dominated the rink throughout the match. So far, the ‘Jeddah Club’ have lost two matches against one, while ‘Kuwait Stars’ remain on top of the championship list.

Meanwhile, UAE’s ‘Abu Dhabi Storms’ Club also earned their third win by defeating Bahrain’s ‘Bahraini’ Club by five goals to none. ‘Abu Dhabi Storms’ showed excellent performance throughout the match, while ‘Bahraini’ ended their matches in the championship with a win and three defeats.
