Kuwait Sport Club win handball Premier League for 8th straight

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 3, (KUNA): Kuwait Sport Club won Kuwait Handball Association’s (KHA) Premier League for season 2019-20 for the eight consecutive time after beating Salmiya 24-17.

Kuwait’s squad was led by Al-Gharabally brothers: Mohammad, Khaled and Abdullah, with Ali Safar keeping the goal, contributing to a decisive win, taking the club’s Premier League’s titles to 10. Salmiya could not keep up with Kuwait’s line-up and settled at 16 points and won the second place.

In other matches, Arabi beat Qadsia 30-24 and Burqan over Kazma 32-31. Khaitan and Qurain would play in the premier league next year after winning the first and second places in the first-division league. Salmiya has 11 Premier League titles, followed by Kuwait and Arabi with 10 each, Kazma has six titles, five titles for each of Qadsia, Sulaibikhat and Fahahheel, and then Khaitan won the title twice
