Kuwait reports 1,160 new COVID-19 cases

KUWAIT CITY, May 27: At least 1,160 people tested positive for COVID-19 over the last 24 hours, raising overall infections to 304,199, Spokesman for the Ministry of Health Dr. Abdullah Al- Sanad said on Thursday. Those who recovered from the disease hit 1078 over 24 hours, taking overall recoveries to 289,367, he told KUNA in a statement. 4 patients succumbed to the coronavirus, he noted, indicating that the death toll has risen so far to 1,755. Up to 13,077 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals, in addition to 153 cases at intensive care units, he stated. Overall medical swabs rose to 2.56 million after conducting 10,774 in the same period, Al-Sanad made clear. The ratio between recoveries and swabs is 10.77 percent.
