Kuwait oil up

The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by 36 cents to settle at $19.50 per barrel compared to $19.14 pb last Wednesday, said Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Friday.

In the world market, the price of oil rose due to a surge of cold wave that hit the US and Europe, which created an increase of demand on oil for heating purposes.

The Brent mix price went up by $1.50 to settle at $30.75 pb while the price of the American crude increased by $1.26 to settle at $30.79 pb. (KUNA)
