Kuwait municipality shut 309 stores for violating precautionary measures

KUWAIT, June 6: Kuwait Municipality stated that it closed 309 commercial stores in all governorates last May for violating the precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid 19).

The municipality said in a press statement today, Saturday, that its supervisory teams issued 1,045 different violations, and sent 2720 warnings and pledges to commercial shops that included cafes, salons, restaurants, groceries and central markets, as it revealed 13304 stores.

These monitoring tours come within the framework of the efforts made by the municipality to face the repercussions of (Corona) based on the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the decisions of the Ministry of Health.

The municipality teams cleaned and sterilized 497050 containers of various sizes and baskets during last May, and put 308 stickers on neglected cars that distort the general view and raised 304 neglected cars.

It stated that during the mentioned period, it raised 32 funds in violation of the voluntary funds, liberated 36 violations of street vendors, issued 68 engineering licenses, and canceled 14 licenses.
