Kuwait men’s handball team ranked seventh by beating Uzbekistan 32-30

Qatar, Bahrain reach final

RIYADH, Jan 30: The Kuwait men’s handball team ranked the seventh place on Sunday in the 20th Asian Men’s Handball Championship by defeating Uzbekistan 32 to 30. The Kuwaiti team was able to end the first half with a score of 17 against 16. The convergence of the result continued in the second half until the end of the match with a score of 32 against 30 so the Uzbek team ranked eighth.

Qatar and Bahrain have qualified for the final stage of the 20th Asian Men’s Handball Championship currently held in Saudi Arabia. Both teams came out on top following Qatar’s win over Iran (34- 19), to face Bahrain on Monday who also managed to beat the hosting team 29 to 20 during the second semi-final match. Putting the Iranian and Saudi teams to face off for third and fourth standing positions also scheduled on Monday. Qatar, Bahrain, Iran, and Saudi Arabia have guaranteed their spot at the 2023 Handball World Cup to be held in Poland and Sweden, (KUNA)
