Kuwait-hosted bowling tournament signifies triumphant return – official

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 13, (KUNA): Kuwait playing hosts to the Asian Bowling Championship next week is indicative of the Gulf state’s “triumphant return” to the sports scene, said the president of the country’s national Olympic committee.

Hosting an event of such magnitude, where 28 nations across the Asian continent are participating, is a harbinger of major accomplishments in sports for Kuwait, Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser Al-Sabah said in a statement.

Kuwaiti athletes enjoy support from across the country’s political spectrum, he added, expressing confidence that there will be rigorous preparations going into the Oct 20-25 event.
