KUWAIT CITY, Jan 6, (KUNA) : A Gulf entrepreneurship forum is scheduled to take place in Kuwait between Jan 14-15, with experts from Gulf countries attending, said a Kuwaiti official on Sunday. The second-of-its-kind event will feature eight workshops and four seminars, Manager of Public Relations and Media and Spokesman of the Ministry of State for Youth Affairs Nasser Al-Arfaj told a press conference.

The ministry, the organizer of the forum, has recently worked with entrepreneurship experts to set out major subjects to be considered by the conferees, Al- Arfaj added. The ministry has played a considerable part in raising public awareness about entrepreneurship, and in spurring young people to actively join this significant domain, he noted. On her part, the ministry’s entrepreneurship section chief Hessa Al-Ayar said weighty entrepreneurship steps and relevant factors of success will be atop the agenda of the event.

The conferees are expected to explore how to capitalize on the available tools of young people who are willing to get engaged in the realm of entrepreneurship, she added. The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development said that developing its website Kuwait jadeeda (modern Kuwait) aims to monitor the execution of governmental projects.

The website will also allow officials and citizens to follow up on the processing of these projects, the secretariat’s Assistant Secretary General Talal Al-Shammari said in a press statement on Saturday. He added that the website will also include pictures and videos on development topics and the number of days left until the completion of the project as well as information on costs.

Moreover, it will also be a source of accurate and transparent information for all types of media on the “New Kuwait 2035” developmental vision, Al-Shammari noted.KUNA photo Deputy Chairperson of Kuwait Anti- Corruption Authority (Nazaha) Riyadh Al-Hajiri during a press conference dubbed ‘Integrity for Development’
