KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- All taxiways, leading to aircraft runways, have been reopened atKuwait International Airport after heavy rains and unstable weather led to their closure for a lessthan 12-hour period.The emergency plan put in place by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation has beensignificantly effective in enabling the resumption of air navigation, the authority said in astatement.The measures, taken as a precaution in order to ensure aircraft safety, were taken due to thesubstantial clouds density, it added.The statement went on to thank government bodies, headed by His Highness the PrimeMinister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, for their efforts in assisting rainwater cleanupefforts and in facing these unusual circumstances
