Kuwait Airport operational again after brief shutdown

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13: Passengers on Kuwait Airways breathed sigh of relief after arriving at Kuwait International Airport after a brief suspension due to fog for about 10 hours, 11 flights were diverted to neighboring airports. Kuwait International Airport has resumed to and fro flights after weather conditions improved as fog was cleared. The visibility was less than 500 meters.

At 8.30 am the first flight from Dammam arrived. Two flights of Kuwait Airways, one flight of Jazeera Airways, 3 Turkish Airlines, 1 British Airways, 1 Air India, 1 FlyDubai, 1 Qatar airways and 1 Emirates flights had to be delivered, reports Al Rai. Bahrain Airport to Basra Airport were affected due to fog hence majority of flights were diverted to Dammam and Emirates. Flights are now operating at full capacity.
