KOC suspends senior official on involvement in corruption

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) has suspended from work an unidentified senior official and issued final warnings and punished three others what the KOC management called ‘team leaders’ on suspicion of involvement in corruption, reports Al- Qabas daily quoting reliable sources.

The same sources said this came after an investigation committee was formed which concluded that these officials were involved in corruption and favoritism, stressing the company is determined to fight corruption expose the wrongdoers, whatever their positions. Speaking of wrongdoing, the sources said these officers were found guilty of corruption and favoritism and in many cases they abused their authority to make illegal gains and were referred to the concerned authorities for investigation.
