KD 75 minimum wage per month for workers in the private oil sector


KUWAIT CITY, June 6 : Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and State Minister for Economic Affairs Hind Al-Subaih issued ministerial decree number 14 specifying the minimum wage for workers in the private oil sector — KD 75 per month, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The decree applies to contracts and work permits which were renewed and concluded, as well as the governmental contracts and projects that ended after the implementation of the decree.

On the other hand, Spokesperson of the Public Authority for Manpower Aseel Al-Mazeed announced that the authority issued administrative decision number 641 on the declaration of labor unions in the private sector in line with the bylaw on protecting the interests of workers in this sector and the members of unions, in addition to ensuring solidarity among members of unions.
