AMMAN, March 13 (KUNA) — King Abdullah of Jordan told director of Salt Hospital to resign after six patients in the intensive care unit died following oxygen supply interruption, local media reported. King Abdullah, who rushed to hospital after the news of the death of the six patients, ordered director of hospital to resign after Minister of health Dr. Natheer Obaidat took the blame for the incident and resigned too. King Abdullah met with families of the victims at the hospital, reported the media.

Meanwhile, Director of MoH’s National Centre for Forensic Medicine, Dr. Adnan Abbas, said causes of death of the six patients – four men and two women – were hypoxia, when the body is deprived of adequate oxygen supply.
He said oxygen supply was interrupted for an hour after hospital ran out of oxygen storage. Abbas said the six people had already caught Covid-19 and all are over 40 years old.
