Jail, fine for visa trafficker

KUWAIT CITY, March 1: The Court of Cassation has sentenced a Kuwaiti citizen to one-year imprisonment and fine of KD 3,000, after convicting him for his involvement in visa trading via a contracting company that he runs and for duping the Egyptian victims with false promises of jobs at a commission of KD 1,000 from each worker. The court acquitted him of the charge of human trafficking.
