WHEN the Islamic Summit Conference in Istanbul in clear terms condemned Iran’s interferences in the affairs of other countries, the regime of Mullahs doesn’t have much choice but to stop sponsoring and supporting terrorism.

The Mullahs have to atone for their sins of the past decades if they truly want their country to again become an effective member of this Muslim organization and be welcomed among the 1.7 billion Muslims of the world.

We hope Tehran has understood exactly what was said in front of the president of their country and the accompanying delegation during the Istanbul summit particularly what his HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin AbdulAziz said in their inaugural speeches stressing on the need for good neighborliness and easing of tensions by the Persian neighbor. When they spoke, they spoke on behalf of the entire region.

Today the Muslim world is waiting for Tehran to take certain steps and reconsider its stances and stop planting terrorist cells in the Arab world.

Iran should also stop interfering in Yemen, stop seeking the destabilization of Saudi Arabia, stop provoking chaos in Bahrain, the UAE and Kuwait.

It has also to withdraw forces from Syria and dismantle its militia unit ‘Hezbollah’ from Lebanon and from outside Lebanon because its terrorist activities have been condemned by all international organizations including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.

The regime of the Mullahs must take off its mask and come out clean and stop pretending to condemn murder, assassinations and suicide operations when in fact Tehran offers safe haven for terrorist leaders of such organizations as the al-Qaeda and is widely considered a home for devising plots against Muslims and non-Muslims.

The Istanbul summit has for the first time condemned in unprecedented crystal clear terms one of its members. Therefore, the statements issued by the regime of Mullahs on good neighborliness with the GCC countries or the Muslim countries can no longer hide their offensive activities here or there.

How can these member countries believe the leaders of the Revolutionary Guard and others at a time when their acts of terrorism have seeped into Africa and Europe?

It is useless for the Iranian delegation to withdraw from the concluding session to escape the condemnation heaped against it and the Lebanese ‘Hezbollah’.

The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani must understand the stands taken by the members of this organization during the summit although his power is not fully under the absolute control of the Morshid – the supreme leader of the Revolutionary Guard.

However, he still remains the representative of the ruling regime. The policy of the ostriches can no longer bear fruit particularly after it has been massively condemned by the Istanbul ‘declaration’ contained in the concluding statement. The verdict has been given against crimes committed by the terrorists.
