‘Invasion-time’ ammo found

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 15: Although nearly 3 decades have passed since the brutal Iraqi invasion of the State of Kuwait, the effects of this invasion are still evident in some areas, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, yesterday the remnant disposal experts of the Interior Ministry dealt with several shells and a land mine.
The explosives department dealt with these dangerous objects, while a security source confirmed that the mines and missiles are still in good condition, meaning that they can be used. According to a security source, an unidentified Kuwaiti who came across the ordnance in Sulaibiya informed the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior and the ministry personnel rushed to the spot and cordoned off the area before the ministry experts dealt with the situation.
Meanwhile, in Al-Mutla’a a Jordanian reported to the ministry’s operations room that he saw shells in the area. The shells look old and may have been discarded by someone and keeping them in his possession for some time
