Infant, man in his 30s drown

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: A year old infant drowned in a small swimming pool at Sulaibiya. Security sources said the infant was brought to Jahra Hospital by his uncle in attempt to revive him but he was confirmed dead by medical personnel that examined him. A case was filed at the Sulaibiya Police Station while the remains of the infant were deposited to Forensics for autopsy. A case was registered. Meanwhile, an unidentified man in his early 30s drowned in a beach in the southern part of the country, reports Al-Anba daily. An air ambulance carried the victim to hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Drugs seized from 3: Compliant with directives from the acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah, security operatives from Jahra Command arrested three youths (two Kuwaitis and a Bedoun) under the infl uence of narcotics, and seized illicit substance known in the local market as ‘chemical’ and shabu in their possession. The first suspect born in 1977 had the illicit drugs in his keep, and the second suspect was wanted for evading 7 months jail term on drug-related offenses, while the Bedoun was in disoriented state. They were referred to concerned authorities along with the exhibits.

KD 80 stolen from grocer: Three unknown individuals robbed a Bedoun owner of mobile grocery in Saad Al-Abdullah area, reports Al-Anba daily. The grocer lodged a complaint against the three suspects in which he explained that the suspects stepped out of a vehicle, held him down and took KD 80 and his cell phone before driving off. Investigations were launched to find and arrest the suspects
