Indian woman dies aborting baby on roof; Bogus maids office busted

KUWAIT CITY, July 24: An Indian woman died on the roof of a house in Sulaibikhat after aborting her baby, reports Al-Rai daily. Police and Forensics men hurried to the location where they found the woman in a pool of blood with the aborted fetus beside her. It has been reported that the woman was married and she did not go to her home country for 18 months, a confirmation that she had an affair. Police are conducting investigations to identify the father of the baby.

Bogus maids office busted
Officers from the General Residency Affairs Department in the Interior Ministry arrested a gang of Ethiopians – three men and 12 women – for operating a bogus domestic labor office. In a press statement, the Public Relations and Security Media Department disclosed a security team was formed based on a tip-off. The team was then tasked to put the gang under surveillance. Investigations revealed the Ethiopians provided shelter to runaway maids and ‘sold’ them to other sponsors. After some time, they asked the housemaids to escape from the new sponsors and then ‘sold’ them to other employers. The officers also discovered later that all those arrested are wanted by law for absconding and other cases
