Indian housemaid attempts suicide

KUWAIT CITY, April 25: An Indian woman who attempted to end her life by consuming a quantity of medicine inside her sponsor’s home in Adan has been admitted to the area hospital.

A security source said the sponsor found the Indian unconscious in the kitchen with empty medicine boxes beside her, so she called the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior and the woman was rushed to be admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).

The source added the woman was given stomach wash and doctors were able to rescue her. The source stated that a case of attempted suicide has been filed against the housemaid and will be investigated after she is discharged from hospital.
