Indian held at airport in drug-peddling – Bootlegger, porn-seller nabbed

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 18: Security officers at the Air Cargo Department in Kuwait International Airport arrested an Indian for attempting to smuggle marijuana through a parcel registered as homemade food ingredients. According to security sources, the officers stationed at the department suspected the parcel, prompting them to wait for the recipient to collect it.

This led to the suspect’s arrest and he was referred to the concerned authorities together with the confiscated drugs. Meanwhile, the Ahmadi police have arrested an Indian for bootlegging and seized from him 62 bottles of locally-manufactured alcohol, reports Al-Rai daily.

The suspect was caught in Mahboula area. At the time of arrest the man was under the infl uence of alcohol. And, a Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Rawdah Police Station accusing an Asian of selling a porno film CD to his juvenile son, reports Al-Shahed daily. Police are looking for the Asian.

Patient arrested: Police officers from Hawally Security Command arrested a citizen who escaped from the Psychiatric Hospital where he was confined as he was diagnosed with schizophrenia, says Al-Seyassah. Police said the citizen’s family took him to the hospital, adding that he is neither dangerous nor wanted by law and he is at the hospital now.
