Indian caught smuggling drug pills in bag of nuts

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 15: Customs officers at the Kuwait International Airport recently foiled an attempt by an Indian to smuggle into the country 7,000 narcotic pills hidden inside a bag of nuts, reports Al-Rai daily. The Indian and the contraband have been referred to the authorities. Meanwhile, a security team from the General Residency Affairs Department arrested an Egyptian and a Syrian for falsifying the construction contracts of a new company.

In a press statement, the department disclosed the arrest came after the concerned officials received information about the illegal activities of the two suspects. During the arrest, one of them was found in possession of narcotics and alcohol. He is also wanted by law for involvement in three criminal cases and he has been banned from traveling. The two suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal measures.
