Hunt on for real-estate cheats

Kuwait Municipality has announced the activation of the role of emergency inspection teams in the municipality branches of all governorates to identify the real-estates that are in violation of the constructional regulations, reports Al-Rai daily quoting an informed source.

He revealed that the number of complaints received by the municipality about violations of buildings and houses is huge, especially as the owners of real-estates have been cheating Kuwait Municipality after the inspection and connection of electricity.

The source affirmed that the violations are perpetrated by the building owners after the inspection operations and not before.

He explained that the municipality’s emergency teams will work based on a certain mechanism. The mechanism will include pursuing the buildings that have been granted building permits recently to ensure compliance with technical requirements. The team will also verify the complaints received from the public by visiting those buildings for inspection. If the buildings are proven to be in any violation of the law, electricity will be immediately disconnected.
