‘Hospitality workers’ from company, demanding salaries, go on strike

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 2: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) has been following up the strike of the hospitality workers of a company which signed a contract with the Ministry of Education, says Al-Seyassah.

After inquiring about the company in the authority’s system, it was revealed that the company paid the salaries of the workers until October.

A reliable source confirmed that the authority will close the file of the company and then call the owner for investigation to determine the causes of the strike. The source added the owner will be obliged to pay the workers’ salaries and sign the investigation record.

The source said the workers can submit their complaints to the Labor Relations Department to be assured through a statement from the owner of the company, receive their salaries and address other problems.

The source added the representatives of the authority coordinated with the ministry in a bid to solve the problems of these workers.
