Hospital confirms ‘commitment’ to ensure ample supply of medicines

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 31: The administration of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital has confirmed its commitment to ensure ample supply of medicines and medical supplies for patients, reports Al-Jarida daily. In a press statement, the administration asserted that patients are given the necessary medicines immediately after diagnosis and examination procedures, as per the decision of specialized doctors and protocols of the Ministry of Health.

In order to avoid health risks related to the type of medicine, its contents and quality; it is prohibited to use medicines not prescribed by doctors or those obtained from outside the ministry’s facilities. The patient has the right to avail medical services and healthcare in accordance with medical principles, the administration explained.

Also, the administration vehemently denied a patient’s allegation that the hospital administers medicine to him at home for a certain fee. After investigating the incident, the ministry expressed appreciation for the medical staff’s proper handling of patients – in accordance with the organizational and technical frameworks that protect their health and ensure their safety. It also stressed the need to follow the organized methods for submitting complaints, inquiries and suggestions through WhatsApp number 94479062, the hospital administration or the Citizens Service Sector in the ministry
