KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13, (KUNA): His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al- Sabah sent on Monday a cable of congratulations to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al- Saud on the end of the Hajj season.

In the cable, His Highness the Amir lauded the success of the Hajj (pilgrimage) this year. His Highness Sheikh Sabah also expressed gratitude for King Salman and his government’s strenuous efforts in addressing the needs of pilgrims, wishing persistent prosperity for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its people.

His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah have sent similar cables to King Salman. Meanwhile, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah sent a congratulatory cable to Saudi counterpart and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman on the successful Hajj season.

Sheikh Nasser also hailed the efforts of Saudi Arabia to provide pilgrims with different services and enable them to perform their rituals easily, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Monday. Also, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt-Gen Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah on Monday congratulated his Saudi counterpart Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud on successful pilgrimage. The MoI said in a statement the minister expressed the congratulations in a cable he addressed to Prince Abdulaziz. He praised the great effort, exerted by the Saudi interior minister, the security personnel and the staff of other sectors for serving the pilgrims.

In the meantime, Head of the Kuwaiti Hajj Mission Farid Emadi praised on Monday the efforts exerted by members of the mission for their labours in service of Kuwaiti pilgrims this year. In a statement to KUNA, Emadi said he received a phone call from His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Hamad Al- Sabah, who asked about pilgrims’ status and Kuwaiti missions in general. Emadi added that Sheikh Jaber also conveyed greetings on behalf of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince to all members of the mission, thanking them for their exerted efforts during this year Hajj season.

The mission chief also highly appreciated the follow up and keenness by Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Municipality Affairs Fahad Al-Shula for easing up all procedures and work related to Hajj this season. Emadi thanked the Saudi government led by King Salman, for their and efforts and huge task in serving all pilgrims this year. Emadi added members of the mission had made tremendous service and relentless efforts, day and night, to serve all Kuwaiti pilgrims.

Also, Emadi attributed success of this year’s pilgrimage to huge services and projects offered by the Saudi government for the pilgrims. Emadi made the remarks to KUNA after attending a reception held by Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz to Muslim leaders, senior clerics and heads of Hajj Missions. Emadi thanked King Salman for the invitation for the heads of the Hajj Missions. He said Allah the Almighty honored Saudi Arabia with the service of the two Holy Mosques, and the Kingdom was fully mobilized for the service of pilgrims.

Emadi said the smart application and state-of-art technology facilitated performance of rituals. Earlier on Sunday, Kuwait’s Consul General in Jeddah Wael Al-Enezy said that all Kuwaiti pilgrims’ conditions at holy sites in Makkah are “reassuring”. “All (Kuwaiti) pilgrims are in good health following the rituals of standing on Mount Arafat, spending a night at Muzdalifa site, Jamarat (pebble-throwing), Tawaf (circumambulation) and finally staying at Mina, in an easy and smooth mode,” he told KUNA. The diplomat highly commended the efforts of Kuwaiti Hajj teams and groups, along with the Saudi government, which provides integrated and prearranged services to pilgrims.

The Kuwaiti consul general also spoke highly of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman for having unequivocally instructed state agencies involved to put all potential at the disposal of all visitors. Pilgrims Sunday settled at Mina Holy Site amid eye-catching services and care extended by government and private sectors in various realms to perform their Hajj rituals with ease and comfort.
