HEISCO wins KD 5.8 mln contract to upgrade export pier at Kuwait’s Ahmadi refinery

KUWAIT, March 30: Heavy Engineering Industries and Shipbuilding Company (HEISCO) announced winning a bid of a contract offered by Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) with a value of 5.8 million Kuwaiti Dinars (KD) (USD 19.14 million).
HEISCO, in a statement posted on Boursa Kuwait Wednesday, said the 24-month contract aimed at upgrading the north pier at Ahmadi refinery to facilitate export of crude oil and hydrocarbon products. HEISCO was established in 1974 and listed in Kuwait stock exchange in 1984. HEISCO, which has a capital of KD 22 million (USD 72.6 million), operates on shipbuilding, maintenance of industrial facilities and ports.(KUNA)
