Has Health insurance fees increased?

Has the health insurance fees been fixed at KD 130 now or is it still at the old rate of KD 54?

Answer: The insurance rates currently remain at KD 50 (with KD 4 for the card) and there are no proposals to increase these in the very near future. There are plans, however, to increase the health insurance to KD 130 (some say this could be over KD 150) once separate hospitals have been constructed for expatriates. The target so far is 2018 but officials say it is unlikely that this target could be met. The Health Ministry two months ago obtained approval from the Fatwa Department to set up these hospitals but the whole scheme is still in the “negotiation stage”.
