Gulf Bank edge Boubyan Bank for title

For the seventh time in its history, Gulf Bank emerged victorious after defeating Boubyan Bank with a score 2-0 in the final match of the Banks Football League which was held at Sabah Al-Salem Stadium in Arabian Club.

According to a press release, the league was organized under the patronage of Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Banking Club Fadhel Al-Mandi.

Executive Chairman of Gulf Bank Antowan Zaher and Executive Chairman of Boubyan Bank Abdullah Al-Tewaijri were present to watch the match along with the General Manager of Human Resources Department at Gulf Bank Salma Al-Hajaj, General Manager of Boubyan Bank Walid Al-Yaqout, Head of Sports Committee Saud Al-Ali and a member of the Board of Directors Qutaiba Al-Bassam.

At the end of the event, Al-Mandi presented the championship trophy to the Gulf Bank team. He presented medals to Boubyan Bank and Kuwait Finance House (KFH) teams which came second and third respectively.

The award for the best goalkeeper went to Ahmed Abdullah from Gulf Bank. The best player award went to Meshal Menahi from Gulf Bank. Abdullah Khalid Al-Khaldi from National Bank of Kuwait and Sami Waheed from KFH shared the award for best scorers with eight goals each.

Kuwait Banking Club presented a plaque to Antowan Zaher and Abdullah Al-Tewaijri each as well as honored the medical emergency team.
