Growing ‘pot’ in home – Kuwaiti arrested

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 6: Following the arrest of a Kuwaiti citizen few days ago for cultivating marijuana plants inside his house, another citizen was also arrested on Tuesday for marijuana cultivation in his house. In a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior, the General Department of Public Relations and Security Media explained that the International Drugs Control Department received information about a Kuwaiti citizen involved in cultivating marijuana inside his house. Detectives from the Drugs Control General Department immediately placed him under surveillance. After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, they raided the house and confiscated nine marijuana plants, about 50 kilograms of seeds, plant vitamins that help plants grow, a piece of hashish and drug paraphernalia. The citizen was arrested and referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorites for necessary legal action.
