KUWAIT CITY, Dec 19: The Touristic Enterprises Company (TEC), which manages the Green Island, banned grilling on the island, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The company explained it took this decision, which was implemented on Dec 13, because the island’s visitors did not comply with the regulations on grilling; taking into consideration the grave danger it poses to the environment and children as people left burning charcoal in the premises while the smoke affected those exercising in the area.

With this decision, grilling is now prohibited in most public utilities in the country; except in Messila and Egaila beaches that have yet to ban grilling.  Nevertheless, Shisha is banned in these beaches in compliance with the Ministry of Health regulations.
