KUWAIT CITY, April 2: Several shipments of commercial goods en route to Kuwait have been rerouted to other markets, particularly the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. Sources disclosed one of these shipments belongs to an agent in Kuwait engaged in commercial activities in other markets, including the UAE.
Sources explained that due to the increase in prices globally while local prices remain the same, as well the strictness of concerned officials in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry; the agent decided to change the destination of the shipment to markets that are flexible in terms of the movement of prices. This is in addition to a food shipment that was rerouted recently, sources said.
