KUWAIT CITY, June 28: Police have arrested an unidentified Filipino for cheating his compatriot girlfriend, reports Al-Rai daily.

The daily added, the man promised to marry the woman and ‘borrowed’ from her KD 500 and later went back on his promise and also failed to repay the money.

During interrogation he has admitted to the charge. A complaint has been filed at the Salmiya Police Station.

39 illegals held: Thirty-nine expatriates who were caught for violating the residence law have been referred to the concerned authority, reports Al-Rai daily.

In other news, the Jahra police have arrested an Indian who was wanted by law in a financial case with a value of KD 21,000.
