KUWAIT CITY, Nov 11: Personnel from the Jahra Security Directorate have arrested four Kuwaitis for following, molesting and harassing young women in a shopping mall in Jahra, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after several victims complained to the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior. Meanwhile, the Fahaheel police have arrested an Asian for possessing 48 bottles of locally-manufactured alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily. The bootlegger was caught redhanded by a police patrol while attempting to sneak into a building with a bag filled with the contraband. During interrogation he admitted to promoting alcohol. The suspect and the contraband have been handed over to the General Department for Drug and Alcohol Control.Referred for probe: Security officials affiliated to the Criminal Investigation General Department have said those who were involved in illegal primaries in two locations in the Ahmadi Governorate have been referred to the concerned authorities for violating the Elections Law, reports Al-Shahed daily. The Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior has made it clear that all those who are involved in the primaries will be referred to the Public Prosecution. Meanwhile, a candidate from the fourth election constituency has surrendered to the Public Prosecution after he was accused of votebuying, reports Al-Rai daily. This happened after his campaign workers — a lawyer and two others — were caught for buying votes in his favor. Cash stolen from car: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Riqqa Police Station accusing an unidentified person of breaking the glass of his car, which was parked in the parking lot of a co-society, and stealing his cell phone and money, reports Annahar daily. Personnel form the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.
