Foul play suspected as Egyptian perishes in fall

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 17: An Egyptian died after falling from the fourth floor of a building in Nugra, Hawally under mysterious circumstances. According to security sources, the Operations Unit at the Interior Ministry received information on the incident so paramedics and securitymen were dispatched to the location immediately. An eyewitness account revealed the Egyptian was seen throwing himself from the fourth floor of the building. The initial report on the incident revealed the Egyptian committed suicide but investigation is underway to determine the actual circumstances leading to his death. His remains were referred to Forensics.

Egyptian swindled: Police have taken into custody an unidentified Egyptian for cheating his compatriot and stealing KD 1,700 from the man in the name of investing it on his behalf, reports Al-Rai daily. The Egyptian has filed a complaint with the Maidan Hawally Police Station. The man has been handed over to the authorities.

Woman arrested: Mubarak Al-Kabeer securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti woman for stealing the contents of her neighbor’s car, including a mobile phone, some important documents, personnel files and cheques which belong to the company where the latter is working, reports Al-Rai daily. The owner of the car, a Kuwaiti man, called Mubarak Al-Kabeer Police Station to report the burglary immediately after finding out that the window of the vehicle was broken and the above mentioned items were missing. Police conducted a thorough investigation after receiving the report and this led to the identification of the theft – the Kuwaiti woman – who was referred to the concerned security department.

Ex-wife accused: A Kuwaiti has filed a complaint with the Sabah Al-Salem police accusing his ex-wife of stealing furniture from his home in the area, reports Al-Rai daily. In his complaint the man said the ‘wife’ entered the house using a duplicate key which she had when they were living together. He added, the theft occurred when he was outside the country. The complainant then provided details about his ex-wife and when the police summoned her for interrogation, she admitted to the charge and said it is she who had paid the cost of the furniture. She has been referred to the authorities
